LED BY THE SPIRIT

If we let the holy spirit guide us every day
In the things we do and in the things we say,
See how bright the light will shine within
And this earthly battle we will surely win.

When anger flares in our human heart,
Let the spirit dampen it, His love impart
So the anger flame just dies quietly away,
Peace will fill us and we'll not go astray.

When temptation storms across our way,
Let the holy spirit teach us what to say,
"Get thee behind me Satan." just cry
And he will turn away, he has to obey.

When cruel words form on sweet lips,
Stop and think before a word slips
Out and hurts and injures a friend,
Be guided by the spirit and win in the end.

Choose the right, be led by the light that shows
You right from wrong, have a heart that glows
With love, and people will see your light shine,
Then at the end the Lord will say, you are mine.
