Here is what we've done for our
New Beginnings... We've broken down the theme and with each sentence,
we have a slide or picture of our girls throughout the year that goes
with that particular sentence. Have I lost you yet?? For example,
We are daughter of Our Heavenly Father who loves us...(a picture of a
girl at the visitors center looking at the Christus.)
And we love him............( a yw sitting under a picture of Christ
reading scriptures)
When that is through, we continue with the slide show with sentences
like...
The Values we repeat each week in our Young Women theme help us to
identify and incorporate gospel principles in our
lives...............(We took a picture of one of our girls in front of
our framed theme)
We go through the values, the class mission statements, the purpose of
activities, lessons, etc.
We're really excited about this because not often do we sit and listen
the words in the YW theme, we just say it quickly. It's also helpful
because it lets the parents know why we do certain things (activities,
service, etc.) At the end, we have pictures of each of the girls to
Walk tall, you're a daughter. Then our bishop will speak on the 2004
theme.
